Female urinary incontinence and pelvic floor problems are surprisingly common. Approximately one in four women over the age of 18 experiences bladder control issues, and nearly half of all women will deal with the condition at some point in their lives.

Fortunately, 80-90% of cases can be cured or significantly improved. However, despite such a high success rate, only 1 in 12 affected seeks medical help for the problem.

We’re here to change that.

ABOUT GLEN MEADE INCONTINENCE CENTER

Glen Meade Incontinence Center, a division of Glen Meade Center for Women’s Health, is a regional center for the diagnosis and treatment of female urinary incontinence and pelvic floor problems. Our medical staff includes six board-certified physicians who are experts in the field, as well as a registered nurse who is exceptionally knowledgeable and always available to answer your questions in person or online through our Ask A Nurse feature. Within the center we have the tools to evaluate, diagnose and treat the range of incontinence issues on site, including an in-house pharmacy for your convenience.

Beyond addressing the physical components of these issues, our staff fully understands the very delicate emotions that can accompany such conditions. Studies show that incontinence has a huge quality of life impact on women—much more than hypertension and diabetes—and second only to major depression. Many women assume loss of bladder control is a natural part of aging and nothing can be done about it. In fact, nothing could be farther from the truth.

Learn more about the facts of bladder control and pelvic floor issues on this site, and make an appointment for a personal evaluation. At Glen Meade Incontinence Center, we treat you with the compassion, dignity and respect you deserve, helping you regain control of your bladder— and your life.
